Matt's Birthday!

Breakkie in bed.

Cute kiddies.
Funny gifts from the girls.  Addi got him a stick reindeer.
Destiny bought him sea shells.
Kiddie cuddles.
Geo caching all day long.
I think that sounds like the makings of a perfect birthday for this guy!
We had so much fun searching for treasures.
Our final one was located at a bird watching station.

ooooh.  So fun!
The girls loved helping make daddy's cake!
SOOOO many candles ;)

We really had a nice day for Matt's birthday.  A special day for a very special guy!

I have some crazy news...I will be missing in action for a bit now.  We are headed to America for the holidays!  It all came together yesterday so we have had to act quickly in our packing.  We will be flying in an U.S. Air force plane making a few stops before our arrival in California.  I hope to be back on the blog when we arrive!  For now...

Enjoy today!

Embassy Christmas Party

"Merry Christmas, Everybody!"
We celebrated with 6 white boomers (large, male kangaroos).  The roos help Santa in Oz because it's just too hot here for the reindeer.
Olli visiting Santa.
The girls were a bit terrified.  {But we can say it's cute that they are hugging each other by Santa}
However, Destiny worked up the courage to ask him for a toy puppy.
After all, she wouldn't get her fairy floss if she didn't talk to Santa first ;)
The Embassy always does a beautiful job with holiday parties.  My favourite part of the Christmas party was definitely the cookie contest.  I tasted and I voted!

Cookie Cuties

Hey Friends!  Have you ever wondered what decorating cookies with 5 little cuties would look like.  Well, you are in luck!  I documented our cookie making tea party! 5 girls in 5 aprons.
Christmas trees, stars and Santas to decorate!
Destiny's festive tree.
MMMMM...they are just so yummy!

Sweeties

Hey Friends!  I hope you are having a happy day!  It's dance day over here.  Addi has dance class this morning :)
In the past couple of weeks Destiny has received  2 awards!  One for moving up a level in swimming and one for doing very well with her practice for her school concert.
My two sweeties!
Another "sweetie" that I let into my life last week.  Double chocolate cheesecake with home made cherry pie filling to top it off.  I think I ate 3/4 of that cheesecake myself.  I told Matt not to let me make one again unless it is for a special event :)

Enjoy today!

Feelin' Friendly!

Hey Friends!  The girls recently asked me to take this picture of them.  They have been asking me to photograph them a lot lately.  I think they may have had a bit too much paparazzi in their life from a young age!  That's okay, I think I've documented every special moment in a very good way!

In the past few weeks, we have had the opportunity to babysit for many of our friends.  That means, fantastic play dates!  Even sleep overs; which make little Destiny's heart sing!
Cheezels, anyone?
Fun time with fun friends are always so special!  We are so blessed to have made a wonderful group of friends here in Oz.

It's a special man's birthday today.  Make sure you send him a little birthday greeting!  We love you Daddy Matt!

Movember

Hey Friends!  I love this time of year!  Ice Pops and pool time!
Olli tried on a new hat for an upcoming trip (cross your fingers/toes/eyes/legs)!
I have to tell ya, I am SO happy "Movember" is over!  Matt's mustache even grew some fungus on it!  ;)

Olli tried a mustache on for size too!

We are off to the shops to buy some things for an extra special day tomorrow {shhhh...it's Matt's birthday}

Enjoy today!

P.S.  My computer is confused about how to spell mustache...I think my computer is becoming "Aussie"...moustache/mustache?!?!  hmmm.

4 months old

Hey Friends!  Can you believe I have a four month old baby already?!?!  Neither can I!  He's generally a happy little guy.  Easy peasy and happy to sit back and watch his sisters play.
I didn't realize he had such a funny face in this pic...he must be coughing. ha!  Babies and their cute faces that they make!
He weighs in at just over 14 lbs. and is nearly 25 inches tall!  We had a 4 month check and he is doing great!
Here is Destiny sharing a school project with her Auntie Lili over skype.  She had to write a book about a story she made up.
I think my  mom will appreciate this picture.  Grandma Sue, do you recognize that kitty?  Addi found it and had a little snooze with it.  That was mine when I was a little girl.  Kitty was so loved that it has a safety pin holding it together!

We are just about to start a tea party with some friends!

A blue Bird

"What are you, Addi?"
"A blue bird."  All dressed and ready to go to dance class.
The little dancers are gearing up for their end of term dance concert!
Fear to Freedom at the Play House here in Canberra!  It's an exciting time!  Addi is dancing to 3 songs and Destiny will dance to 2 songs.  It's very fun!
Not only do I have some cutie pictures but a yummy picture as well.  Amaretto soaked, white chocolate dipped cherries!  YUMMY!

Wish I could share them with you!
Enjoy today!

We love the beach

Hey Friends!  Australia has the best beaches...hands down.  Most of the time you have the beach all to yourself too!  The kids had been looking forward to this day for a long time!
It was so exciting for Olli that he just slept right through it!
Me and Matt working on our tans. ha!  I laugh, because with the way I slip, slop, slap that sun screen on there is no way I'm going to get a tan.
Destiny loves the beach!  She'll just dive right in the water.
Addi is more of a "play in the sand" kind of girl!

Both of the girls decided to go in with me a little bit.  We had a school of fish swim by and a ray of some sort.

Matt and Olli with his cool shades!
After our fun in the sun, it was time for some grubalicious food!  Matty grilled up left over mashed potatoes from Thanksgiving, corn on the cob, and some prosciutto.

Yum!
Our drive to and from the beach was VERY curvy.  We went through Kangaroo Valley and it was beautiful.  On our way home, we popped off to a tiny store to buy some farm fresh eggs and many delicious fruits and veggies!  There were such cute little towns inbetween Canberra dn Jervis Bay.

It was a very fun vacation!
