Frolicking in the Flowers

Hey Friends!  How is everything going for you?  An update over here:  Matt is in Denver rushing to Wyoming to see his Grandma.  She wants pics of the family so I have sent some pictures through email.  The kids and I are very sad that we can't be there, but we are making the best of things here.  Please continue to pray for Matt's Grandmother and for safe travel for Matt and his sister.  This morning I awoke to a nice surprise at 3 A.M. Our furnace shut off.  I found myself crawling in the attic to turn it back on.  Something always goes wrong with the husband leaves town...hopefully that's the only thing that goes wrong.  {crossing fingers}

This time of year in Canberra there is a huge spring flower festival.  So far I have visited it twice this year and it has been fantastic!  Addi had a teddy bear picnic with some of her friends.
The whole time, she begged and begged to go on rides. haha!  She enjoyed the flowers too.
Isn't it just beautiful!  Tulips are one of my favorites and I also love poppies so this festival is a win - win for me.
Addi by the flowers!
Destiny got a GOLD medal for reading in the school the other day.  She completed her reading challenge!  What an awesome reward!

We are off to have some fun adventures!

Enjoy today!

Vacation becomes a Staycation

Hello Friends!  The other day, we spent a good portion of the morning/afternoon in the wind at the park.  Everyone slept so well after that!  Each of my children took at least a 3 hour nap!  It doesn't get much better than that!
Matty and baby boy snuggling on the couch.
Last week, the girls road bike to school.  Addi on her special birthday bike.
Destiny got to dress up for "happy helper" day.  The students were allowed to dress up as someone they want to be when they grow up.  Destiny chose a "teacher".
She also got to bike around the play ground at school.  What an EXTRA special day!

It turns out that our family vacation to Tasmania/Melbourne/Great Ocean Road has turned into a staycation for me and the kids.  Matt has been called to join his family in Wyoming while is Grandmother is very ill in ICU.  Matt left this morning and would appreciate prayers for safe travel and healing/no pain for his Grandma.  The kids and I are heart broken that we can't be there, but are unable to be there due to the outrageous price of last minute plane tickets and Olllie not having his American passport yet.  So we will stay home and enjoy some vacation in our house.  I plan on setting up the pool, bouncy house, etc.  It will be SUPER fun!

Enjoy today!

2 Months

Hey Friends!  Guess who is 2 months old!  Ollie is!

Ollie is posing with his wombat "Wollie"...Ollie, Wollie...it works for a name!
This big boy is weighing in at 12 lbs.  I love that he is chunky, but he is getting heavy to carry really fast!
The little cutie can roll from his back to his side consistently and has even rolled from his back to his belly.  He cried when he got to his belly, but he did it. Ha! He has many smiles too.  He especially enjoys the lanterns that are hanging from our ceiling and his mobile in his bassinet.
My 3 cuties!  I can't believe I have a 5 year old, 3 year old and a 2 month old!  wow!  I must be busy...hehe!

Enjoy today!

Park Time

Hey Friends!  Spring has sprung and we have been enjoying some much needed time in the sun!  It's funny to type that because today we are staying in because of thunder storms. ha!  That's okay because this momma has some packing to do.  A 16 day vacation is no joke to pack for!
Forget the slides, see saws, climbing sturctures; my girls are swing girls!  Both of them have loved to swing ever since they were born!
peek-a-boo Addi Sue!
Me and my sweet girls!  Our trip to the park quickly ended because of a freak bird attack.  The magpie attacked Destiny and scared us all half to death.  It's that time again, when the magpies start swooping.  I guess we won't be visiting that park again for a while!

Enjoy today!  (think of me running around my house like a chicken with it's head cut off throwing clothing/shoes/etc. here and there like a mad woman!)

Get Down at the Hoe Down

Good mornin', friends!  How's your day going so far?  Over here, it's great!  I'm the first one up (per usual); I had a great walk with Dusty and a little run to myself and now it's time to blog before my 3 favorites wake up.
Ollie in his super cute outfit from the Aldrich family (my auntie and cousins!)  He's way too cute in this!
Funny faces!
Addi enjoyed a muffin and babychino at play group at Rodney's cafe.
Term three at school ended with a hoe down!  The girls wrapped bandannas around their necks and were ready to party!
There was music, dancing, and glow sticks...who could ask for anything more?
Addi found a friend from her dance class and they danced the evening away together!
The night ended with HOT DOGS!

We are off to get Ollie's American passport all sorted.  Wish us luck!

Enjoy today!

So many firsts!

Hey Friends!  I've been a little MIA lately.  We are winding down the 3rd term of school and activities and preparing for a 2 week trip to Melbourne, The Great Ocean Road, a farm and Tasmania.  I have so much packing and prepping to do!  These last couple weeks have been full of our usual routines: dance, swim, science class, library, trips to the park and so much more!
Ollie had his first bath in the big boy tub :)
Kisses for baby.
He gave his Bumbo a go, but he's a bit too small for it yet.
This picture went upside down for some reason, but this is Ollie with his cute speedo!  Last week he went swimming for the first time and loved it.  He also saw his first movie: Madagascar 3.  It was really fun!  He is such a good baby!  We are praying that he does well on a long car trip now too!

I'm off to get tons of things done today!  I have a LOOOOONG to-do list that needs crossing off!

Tata for now!

Enjoy today!

chocolate is good for you

Hey Friends!  The beautiful chica in the photo with me celebrated her 30th birthday yesterday.  I am really missing being by her side for her birthday celebrations, but I am so thankful for our time spent together while she visited Oz.  The picture above was taken before our last evening out dancing.  We had a blast!
The next morning by Hyde Park.
One more trip to the chocolate shop...I think I could take a swim in that huge vat of chocolate!

Eating chocolate...Destiny was the photographer.  We shared a delicious chocolate waffle.
Addi ate almost an entire brownie.  Yum!
Destiny licked the chocolate off the top of her brownie...the girl knows what she likes :)
This sign was posted in the chocolate shop...I think it's my new motto!
We found an awesome alley with bird cages hung through out it.  As you walk through, there is a recording of the calls of the native birds.
Good-bye pictures.  Auntie Lili with the kiddos.
Best Friends Forever!  I could not imagine having a better friend than my dear Lili.  I am so thankful to have her in my life and so blessed that she came to visit me in Oz!

Enjoy today!

The Hopera House

Hey Ladies and Gents!  Thanks for reading the bloggy...if this post doesn't temp you to visit Australia, I don't know what will.  Sydney is such a beautiful city!  This is a picture of the Sydney Harbour Bridge!  People actually climb to the top of it!  It's so beautiful!
Our crew, walking around the harbour.  Notice, Starbucks in the background!
A man playing the didgeridoo.
They are sexy and they know it!  New sunnies from the Chinese Markets.
Walking toward to Opera House...or the Hopera House, that's what my children call it!

The girls by the bridge.
Ollie all bundled up, by the bridge.
D and A loved looking at the water and ferry boats.
There it is...the Hopera House!!!
Our delicious lunch at the Opera Bar.
A message in the sky, written by an airplane.
Destiny and Lili
Besties forever!
Our whole family by the Opera House.

What a lovely, sunny Sydney day!  I hope you all get to see this wonderful city some day!
