3 Little Pumpkins

Happy Halloween from Australia!  We are celebrating today!
Here are my three little pumpkins!
The girlies with their pumpkin headbands.
Lucky for us, Costco sold carving pumpkins here!  The kids were so excited to carve them!  Ollie looks a little too excited! ha!
First, we decorated them with silly faces!
A few days later, we spent some time carving them.  Addi dug right in, but Destiny is still concerned about the gooey, yucky stuff inside!
 Addi's "scary face" pumpkin!
 Me, working on Ollie's pumpkin.
Destiny loved using the carving knife on her "puppy" pumpkin.
Our finished pumpkins.  Ollie fell asleep so we had to take his picture the next day!
Lucky for me, he was full of smiles!

Have a fabulous Halloween!  I'll share more Halloween pictures with you through out the week :)

Enjoy today!

More Apple Blossom Fun

All through the day, they were giving helicopter rides.  The kids thought it was so cool to see the helicopter take off and land so many times!
 Ollie, all tuckered out.
The girls loved their face paint!  Addi as a butterfly!
 Destiny as a lady bug!
After the petting paddock, they decided it would be really cool to ride the horses.
 They both loved their ride!
We ended the day with ice cream and a motorcycle show.
What an awesome day!
Enjoy today!

The Petting Paddock

Hey Friends!  The Apple Blossom Festival had the best petting paddock.  They were very specific that this is NOT a petting zoo, but a "paddock"; I'm not sure what the difference is.  There were so many kinds of animals at the paddock.
Destiny loved petting and holding all the animals.
Matt took his turn milking the cow.
 Destiny and a goat.
 Destiny loved the chooks.
It was so cute to watch the animals climb all over one another.
After about 10 minutes, Addi decided to join in on the petting party!
She especially liked the little piglets.
Destiny picked up a couple of chooks and thought that was the coolest thing ever.
The girls loved having the piggies suck on their fingers.
I think the petting paddock was the highlight of the day!

Enjoy today!

Apple Blossom Festival

Hey Friends!  You ask, "Was it worth the 2.5 hour drive to see the apple blossom festival in Batlow?" I say, "I think so!"  The drive was stunning and so were the apple orchards.

The festival is held in a small town that reminded both me and Matt of festivals held in our home towns growing up.  We started our adventure with a lovely picnic and the girls were promised some ice cream.
Who would have though you could get "UNIQUE" Aussie bush flavours.  I can only imagine what they were.  What do you think of when you here Aussie bush?  Me? I think of things like, lizards, dingos, wild mushrooms, gum trees, plenty of dirt and the like.  I don't think I would like any of those things in my frozen yogurt or pancakes!
A rare picture of me and the little mister.

There were horses to be ridden and a bouncy house to be jumped in.
Addi brought along her little panda to enjoy the festival.
Ollie sitting like a big boy in his stroller.
One of the things I love about small town festivals: everything is FREE!  Free balloon flowers!
 Free music!
Free car show!  The whole day was a blast!  I'll be back tomorrow with some more pictures of the festival, but for today, I am leaving you with this...
Sometimes all you can do is smile and grab the camera when you child walks out of their room looking like this!  Wowza!  What kind of super powers do you think she has?

It's the Little Things

Hey Friends!  It's the little things in life that make me oh-so-very-happy.  I love receiving my fruit and veg box every Thursday.  We had stopped having one delivered, but in an effort to cut grocery costs we have decided to go with a box again.  The food is amazing!  So much fruit and veg for one week :)  We love it!  PLUS, it's kind of like Christmas every Thursday when I open up my special gift of food and come up with recipes to go with it.
Another special little thing is this guy!  He's 3 months old already!  Can you believe it?  I bought him this cute outfit because it says "little coach" on it.  My dad coaches basketball and I thought this was SO cute for Ollie to dress up like Grandpa Gus.
He thinks he's pretty cute too.  Look at that BIG smile!  He is weighing in somewhere between 12 and 13 lbs {BIG BOY} and is 24 inches long.  He's growing, happy and healthy!  That's all we can ask for, right!?
Sometimes the little things in life can make the biggest messes; if you have a weak stomach avoid the next photo.
Never, ever did either of my girls have explosions like this....leave it to the little boy to make the biggest messes of all!  I hope this isn't an indicator of how "messy" he will be in general. ;)

Ollie is simply a joy to have around.  He is exactly what one would expect of a 3rd baby. He is an easy, chill, go with the flow kind of guy.  He fits right in and adds so much joy to our family.  3 months with Ollie and I couldn't imagine life without him!

Birthday Party 3 of 3

Hey Friends!  Who would have thought that this simple box could turn into a PARTY!  Thanks to my lovely cousin/bestie/bff Lili; I celebrated my birthday -- box style :)
First thing in the box: Cherry Chip Cupcakes and paper cups to put them in.
I hired the BEST cupcake makers in the world to help me make them.
They even taught me that you must lick the batter off of the wisk, scoop, AND rubber scraper. ;)
Next: Balloons and Streamers!  We decorated the house SO beautifully!

There were even a couple of super fun surprises in there!
After the cupcakes cooled, we decorated them with frosting, sprinkles and cool paper decorations.

Did I mention, I had a "birthday girl" sash?
What an awesome birthday!
Thanks for the super fun memories, Lili!  This birthday wasn't what I expected or planned but so many people put in the effort to make it a really special one for me.  Thanks!
Enjoy today!
