Story Time at the War Memorial

Hello! Happy Friday! One week ago, Destiny put on her fancy hat {knit by her Grandma Sue} and off we went to the Museum at the War Memorial here in Canberra. They were hosting a story time. I was a bit skeptical as sometimes museums are not very child friendly, however, this story time/museum blew me away!
Addi posed for a pic too! It's beautiful Autumn weather and the girls are absolutely enjoying it!
Inside the museum there was a children's area complete with a real life sized helicopter! The kids had so much fun "driving" it!
There was also a mock submarine! I think those racks look pretty spacious compared to the ones that Matt slept on in the Seawolf!
In another area, there was a trench. The kids had fun trying on the different styles of military hats and clothing.

The story time included stories about animals who helped out in the effort of the military. They provided hats made out of news paper for each child. Destiny learned how to salute!

After story time, the kids ran back to the submarine to play some more!
What a fun time! We will definitely be back!
What are you weekend plans? In a few minutes the girls and I are going to do a painting project. Then it will for sure be bath time :) I am so excited for tomorrow; a friend of mine is hosting a baby shower for me and a couple of other ladies who are expecting or have recently had a baby! It's going to be so fun!
Whatever you are up to, I hope you have a blast!
Enjoy today!
