luau!

We ended our Hawaiian vacation by attending a luau with Great Aunt Merilyn.

The beautiful trees set the stage for the entrance to the luau.
Once inside, we were greeted with a shell necklace and mai tai.
Oliver rocked his necklace!
Destiny loved the fruit punch...especially the cherry on top!
The girls made bracelets out of flowers.
Destiny practiced one of the New Zealand hula dances.
The kids loved watching some entertainment on the lawn before entering the luau.
The girls got "tattoos".
A young man made me this beautiful headband using coconut leaves.
That's me on top of the coconut tree *wink wink*
After I climbed the tree, it was time for me to haul out the pig!
yummy!
Matt enjoying some poi!
Our beautiful feast!
mmmmm...meat!
The girls went on stage to learn the hula!
Fire dancing!
One tired dude by the end of the night.
Addi enjoyed the show.

After the show, the dancers gave us each a beautiful lei.  Lucky us!  What a fun and beautiful way to end our time in Hawaii.  The next morning, we were up bright and early to catch our flight outta there!

I'll be back tomorrow with some more recent adventures!
Enjoy today!
