You can take the sailor away from the submarine, but...

Hey friends!  For Easter we had a bit of a getaway to Melbourne!  The kiddies were so excited to hit the road!
Oliver was set with toys to play with and his sisters to entertain him!
On our first stop I found this gem in the bathroom at a petrol station.
Next stop: a visit to a submarine!  Interesting enough, this town is in the middle of Australia and not near any coasts!  We had a lovely tour of the sub and the museum.

Matt just loves his submarines.  :)

The girls especially enjoyed walking on the top of it.

Me and my Destiny.
A bit of Canberra at the stop.  A picnic area transformed into Parliament. I found it a big strange.

Into the museum we went and Matt had a blast explaining all of the sub parts.
Breakfast = Bum nuts....NO THANKS!
A cartoon I saw...you never know what's in Aussie waters!

This is what Matt would wear if he was in the Royal Submarine force.
Special Submarine wines served on board.
The girls loved the bunk beds!  I got in one...man, it's a tight squeeze!
Looking out of the periscope!

Dolphins!
The rest of the ride was uneventful.
Look out for Koalas on the road!
And here we are!!! Melbourne!

Enjoy today!
