Halloween : American Embassy Style!

Hey friends! Happy Halloween again. Who's celebrating today??? Me! We are having a meal in a pumpkin! One of my friends here in Oz gave me a recipe to create a whole meal inside a pumpkin! I'm also roasting up the second pumpkin we carved to be used for pumpkin pie! yum!

So here is our Embassy Style Halloween Bash:

An American flag (something we don't see too often around here)! It's amazing how a little flag can make you feel a bit more at home!

Destiny in her tiger costume. She picked a flower for me!

Addi picking flowers too.

Riding on the "reptile man" 's turtle! Addi ALMOST touched a snake! Kuddos to her; she backed out at the last second, but she was impressed that mommy touched it! They also had a goanna and blue tongued lizards. They are fun to look at and touch.

The construction workers got festive with their Halloween creations. The cones came to life for Halloween!

The sign says, "Watch out for Ghouls in the ground" - a festive way to mark the ongoing construction at the Embassy!

Addi enjoying her sausage from the sausage sizzle!

Destiny trick-or-treating in one of the buildings. Each door had a special theme and different people in costumes handing out candy.

Addi was a bit afraid of it all so she clung tightly to mommy!

The girls with the "king"...I mean...the Ambassador. This was in front of his "palace". The hound dog was inside the door :) too cute!

Destiny snacking on her candy.

Addi saying a BIG CHEEEEESE!

The girls all ready to leave the party. Behind them, the metal structure just past the light pole is Parliament House.

There was so much fun to be had at the Embassy party. The girls really enjoyed seeing their friends and walking through the Alice in Wonderland themed "not-so-haunted" house for the kiddies. Of course, they loved the candy too!

As you can see, we had a very nice Halloween! I hope yours was wonderful too!

Today, we took Destiny to her first pre-school meeting! A big step for our family. I almost cried during the meeting! February, please don't come too soon! (Feb. is when she starts school.) It's hard to believe our little Destiny is ready to go to school!

Enjoy today!
